Lillian “LuLu” Shaffer, of Millville, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 63 years old.
LuLu grew up and raised her 3 children in Millville, NJ. She was not only a bus driver for Sheppard Bus, the best bus driver! Ms. LuLu will be remembered for having pizza parties and candy for the kids on her bus at the end of every year, before retiring to spend time with her family.
LuLu was a fun spirited soul who was loved by everyone who met her. She was a kind, giving, devoted wife, mother, mommom, and friend, who would always put others before herself. LuLu was always the life of the party, and will always be remembered for the parties she threw with the ones she loved. She was the matriarch of her family, and always took care of everyone around her giving the clothes off of her back to help her family and friends. She prided herself in being a mom and mommom to her kids and grandkids, always talking about their accomplishments and lives to anyone who would listen!
She loved decorating her house for every holiday, especially her yard for Christmas, and probably had more blow up Christmas figures in her yard than anyone in Millville. LuLu loved heading to the casinos, especially in Atlantic City and couldn’t wait to go on her next cruise with her husband Kenny. Kenny and LuLu were “Tied at the hip” and were always together, enjoying each and every adventure together.
Loving wife to Kenneth W. Tipton. Beloved mother of Tabitha Shaffer, Charles Shaffer, Jr. “C.J.” (Kristin) and Crystal Ramos (Edgar Sr.). Best mommom to Jeaneya “Nana” (Alex), Mercedes, Janesha “Girlfriend”, Edgar “Bubba”, Ja’kolle “Kollie”, Brianna “Bri”, Charlie III and Tyler.
Dear sister to Juan Lebron, JoAnn Colon, Tina (Lambie) Cruz, Ruth Ann White, Paul Watson and Jimmy Watson, along with the late Johnnie Anna Ramos, Cristina (Tina) Lebron, Cindy Watson and Frankie Watson. She is also predeceased by her first husband, Charles Shaffer, Sr.
Visitation will be held at Rocap Shannon Memorial Funeral Home, 24 N. Second Street, Millville, NJ 08332 on Thursday April 25, 2024 from 10 AM to 12 PM. A celebration of LuLu’s life and service will begin at 12 PM. Interment will follow at the Newport Baptist Cemetery, Newport NJ.
